Although I moved away from NYC at seventeen, I’m still a New Yorker at heart. I like crowds—or at least I know how to cope with crowds—and I could walk for miles on the city streets, especially at night, savoring the lights and the theatre. But I lived in the woods for 31 years, and I love and relish nature. A walk in the woods quiets me and revives my spirits. I like to garden and feed birds too. So I’m a beehive of contradictions. And they buzz inside. My passion has always been literature, but it has taken me this long to let go of the fear which was keeping me from writing. Now I’m engaged in all kinds of writing—poetry, fiction, and straight up non-fiction.
